Drinking water supply secured for the future by new water treatment plant
Problem

Oasen faced the challenge of future-proofing the drinking water supply in their area. With aging treatment plants and increasing salinization of groundwater, there was a need for a modern solution that could guarantee high-quality drinking water despite possible future contamination. This required a complete new construction of the De Put treatment plant in Nieuw-Lekkerland, using the latest purification technologies.

Solution

Logisticon Water Treatment designed and built the RO membrane plants for the new De Put treatment plant, including downstream ion exchange (IEX) filters. In addition, Logisticon realized the secondary installations such as the CIP plant for RO, salt and brine storage, and regeneration stations for IEX. This project, executed according to Oasen's OSRO concept, ensures the production of high-quality drinking water and provides robust protection against salinization and future pollution. The success of De Put led to a follow-up order for an identical installation at De Hooge Boom treatment plant in Kamerik.
