Maximising water reuse in dune filtration with smart modular solutions

Problem

The Dutch dunes play an important role in the production of drinking water. During the treatment of dune water, slow sand filters are used. The residual water generated during the cleaning of these filters was previously discharged into settling ponds. While these ponds allowed suspended solids to settle out, the process did not effectively support the reuse of the rinse water.

Solution

Logisticon Water Treatment will install the newly developed filter installation, consisting of filter tanks and a UV system, in a so-called ‘box construction’. This compact and modular setup allows for efficient and rapid implementation, tailored to the specific needs of the customer.
